Sue Brayne needed more than a platform upgrade. Moving from WordPress.com to WordPress.org was the opportunity for a full design refresh, bringing in new colours, typography, and imagery to better reflect her brand and improve the overall user experience.
One of the key technical challenges was migrating a blog of over 150 posts without disrupting existing URLs, protecting the SEO rankings she had built up over time. The transition was handled carefully, with URL integrity maintained throughout.
The site was built using Bricks Builder and Pods alongside the WordPress block editor, a deliberate choice. Sue was already comfortable with the block editor from her WordPress.com days, so keeping that familiar interface meant she could manage her own content from day one without a steep learning curve.
The result is a modern, visually cohesive website that gives Sue a platform she can confidently call her own.
