Underground Music Venue & Bar
Distrikt is a unique, intimate underground bar and club in the heart of Leeds, founded in 2009 in a repurposed basement in Leeds. The venue blends speakeasy charm with cutting-edge nightlife, offering free-entry parties almost every night and showcasing some of the most innovative names in electronic and underground music.
Initially built on Wix, the existing website offered a basic platform but lacked the flexibility for managing dynamic content – a critical requirement for a venue with a constantly evolving calendar, drink menus, and table booking capabilities.
To solve this, we collaborated with tsium Software on a complete overhaul, rebuilding the site on WordPress using Bricks Builder. The result is a fully responsive, user-editable site that preserves the distinctive, moody branding of the venue, while empowering client-side content control.

and a responsive design ensures smooth navigation across devices which is crucial for mobile users checking upcoming DJs, menus, or booking tables on the go.
tsium provided engineering expertise and back-end support, enabling features like complex custom post type structures, reliable data handling, and scalability for future enhancements.
This redesign gives Distrikt the creative and operational freedom to manage all aspects of their site such as event updates, menu changes, and booking logistics – without relying on limited tools or additional developer overhead. The platform sets them up for continued evolution and engagement with Leeds’ nightlife community.
