Is Small the Next Big is a radio production for BBC Radio 4 exploring the radical vision of E.F. Schumacher, author of the cult classic Small is Beautiful. Twenty-five years after the founding of Schumacher College, Leo Johnson examines whether Schumacher’s ideas — a blueprint for economics ‘as if people mattered’ — still address today’s challenges.

DW Multimedia provided comprehensive audio production and sound editing for the Bath production company Reel Soul Movies. The entire production, including the final mixdown, was completed in our Bath-based sound studio using Pro Tools.

The programme was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 initially and remains available as a permanent feature on the BBC World Service website.
